Where have I been?

Long time since a post...just got back from vacation...need to get going again. I ran 80% of the time in 90degree weather. Weight is still the same...maybe up 3-4 lbs. Not bad I guess, although can't get much heavier anyway.

International Distance & No Injuries !

Just got back from Chicago after finishing Accenture International Distance. Felt good and finished with no injuries...I think that's my motto. I already feel like I need to do run or something...but I guess recovery should take precedence.

Swim was great 38mins, Bike was awesome as well 19.7mph, 1hr17mins....now for the bad news the stupid run...horrible...horrible...horrible...11min mile...

Everyone and I mean everyone passed me up!#@%@#$%#

My new goal lose 30lbs and blow away some runners next year!

Actually, it was a wonderful race. Nice weather. Pleasant people. And I actually remembered to thank every volunteer....they were awesome. The only time I forgot was after the swim, when I was so disoriented I couldn't even think straight....and these guys were the best...they stabilized me right out of the water and made sure I was stable to go on....You guys are the best!!!!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you.

I am expecting a slow transformation throughout this next six months...I will keep you all posted....anyone reading that is.

Gotta do a nice long brick at some point

Well ran 4miles yesterday. My time is around mid to low 11's now. Encorporating the bursts at 0.5 mile mark really helps. Still have this right knee pain. Will try to run today, hopefully 6miler.
At some point will try to do a 24mile bike then run 3miles. The big race is next Sunday. Weight this morning 239.5...gotta get down a bit more. Realistically, will probably be 235 for race day...that would good.

Thoughts over the weekend

Probably over ate...weight is still around 240lbs. This week I am looking at 235-237lbs if all goes well. Watching the input and output of calories.

This weekend biked 14miles Saturday and then 24.2 miles this morning. My heel doesn't hurt as much...ice did help! But we'll see how I feel after the next run...which should be a 6miler.

Another day struggling to work out

Well last night, ran 5 miles, my best pace so far. Average mile is now at 11:28 min mile. This is with bursts for 1-3mins at a time...the fastest at 4:24 min mile (for like 10 secs probably). My left heel bothers me, my right hasn't hurt the entire season...weird.
Another exciting thing...lost more weight...I am so psyched!!! My goal is 220lbs...just broke 240 mark today...now at 239!!! whoo hoo!! I look better and feel better and I have to say my worst event, running, has now become my staple.
Almost forgot, swam 1mile in 3-5 foot waves earlier in the week...that was a bit nauseating.

Dieting is such a drag.

Well, I ran Saturday 6 miles. That went well, except my right knee bothered me a bit. Didn't eat dinner and felt pretty good. Sunday did a bike- run combo 6 miles @ average 18mph with a few hills and tried to run 3miles....during the second mile the right knee wouldn't hold out and I had to stop. I walked it off and ran the final half mile. Sunday night ate dinner.

Woke up this morning with very minimal pain anywhere...even my plantar fasciitis felt better. It's all kinda wierd. Anyway, I gained about 5lbs over the weekend. The cycle starts all over. Some pe0ple are trying their damndest to gain weight...I can't loose it. Tonite no dinner.
